What we do
We focus on developing, introducing, and evaluating new tools and approaches; optimizing the delivery of current tools and approaches; improving data use through enhanced measurement tools, metrics, and information systems; and strengthening endemic country expertise to create sustainable systems.
We partner with ministries of health in malaria-endemic countries to support the development of resilient health systems by generating evidence to inform policy, strengthening the capacity of community health workers, and increasing coverage of proven health interventions–against malaria and other diseases.
We support health ministries in digital transformation—developing skills, systems, and governance—for timely and quality use of data technologies to improve decision-making across efforts to end malaria.
Our investments in malaria have been leveraged to effectively to prevent, detect, and respond to emerging global health threats, including integrating multiple sources of data, applying mathematical modeling, and expanding surveillance and laboratory capacities.
We work across the innovation and access pipeline—from generating new malaria tools to expanding access to current ones, through the analysis of market dynamics and policy windows.

Africa: Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Côte d’Ivoire, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, The Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
