This report outlines the key themes and recommendations identified during three policy dialogues hosted by PATH and partners in 2013 that highlight ways for public-private partnerships to effectively develop, adapt, and deliver lifesaving health innovations to those most in need.

This fact sheet provides an overview of rotavirus disease and vaccines in Mali. It includes information about the tremendous burden of rotavirus diarrhea in Malian children, rotavirus diarrhea treatment and prevention strategies, and the effectiveness of rotavirus vaccines. It also lists countries that have introduced rotavirus vaccines into their national immunization programs.

MVP News Digest provided quarterly updates of activities at the Meningitis Vaccine Project, a partnership between the World Health Organization and PATH. The Meningitis Vaccine Project worked to eliminate epidemic meningitis as a public health problem in sub-Saharan Africa through the advancement of a meningococcal conjugate vaccine. The digest offered news on vaccine development, clinical and surveillance activities, epidemiologic research, and vaccine introduction.

This report, a follow-on to the 2011 report Staying the Course? Malaria Research and Development in a Time of Economic Uncertainty, tracks malaria research and development funding from 2007 to 2011 and provides estimates on funding needs through 2022.

To support a World Health Organization (WHO) Evidence Review Group on Malaria Diagnostics in Low-Transmission Settings in December 2013, PATH was invited to provide an overview of polymerase chain reaction and isothermal molecular methods for malaria infection detection.
