The Meningitis Vaccine Project worked to eliminate epidemic meningitis as a public health problem in sub-Saharan Africa through the advancement of a meningococcal conjugate vaccine. The digest offered news on vaccine development, clinical and surveillance activities, epidemiologic research, and vaccine introduction.
