  5. Kenya’s immunization program is at a critical turning point, as it looks toward upcoming transition from support provided by Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance. To protect the gains made to date, expand immunization services to service the hardest to reach, and achieve ambitious UHC goals, Kenya needs a renewed focus on sustainable immunization financing and planning. To achieve this, the brief recommends that the Kenyan government strengthen coordination and planning for immunization, align budget processes with immunization priorities, and increase county capacity to effectively manage immunization service delivery.
