This report outlines achievements from investment and incentives in health innovation and how the G20 and associated multilaterals are essential to addressing the pressing global health challenges of our time. It also highlights existing and new models for innovative and blended forms of financing that significantly supplement funds that are currently provided by the governments, the private sector and philanthropic organizations.

The IDEA review is a global synthesis of existing evidence aimed at increasing the use of high-quality data to improve immunization coverage.The goal of the IDEA project is to identify, review, synthesize, and disseminate what works to improve the use of immunization data and why it works. In partnership with PAHO, the Health Systems Analytics team at PATH conducted a “realist” systematic review of existing research evidence to determine what are the most effective interventions to improve the use of data for immunization program and policy decision-making; and why and how these interventions produce the outcomes that they do.The IDEA review draws on nearly 550 documents including published literature, working papers, project evaluations and reports, which were distilled and prioritized by global immunization experts.

The United States has a long history of leadership in global immunization. This educational fact sheet created by PATH and several advocacy partners highlights US government efforts in global immunization, including support for Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance; UNICEF; and the World Health Organization, as well as immunization activities carried out by the US Agency for International Development, US Department of Defense, and various agencies within the Department of Health and Human Services.
