Data Fellowship Program

Related program: Malaria

A fellowship program strengthening data and analytics skills for national malaria control programs in countries the Malaria Control and Elimination Partnership in Africa (MACEPA) supports.

Launched in 2024, MACEPA's Data Fellowship Program delivers a structured technical training curriculum and hands-on mentorship to data fellows from experienced mentors, including both structured guidance and informal, on-demand support. The program then embeds the fellows directly within national malaria programs (NMPs) full-time, positioning them to lead data-based analyses while strengthening institutional capacity through targeted trainings for NMP staff. Strengthening the application of data-driven insights for decision-making by NMPs, the programs aims to foster sustainable data use and reduce dependency on external support.
