Optimization of Community Care Sites in DRC
In the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), community care sites (CCS) are small health posts stationed across the country and run by two community health workers. The CCS are used to bring essential health care to hard to reach communities, especially those without an accessible health facility.
PATH's Malaria Control and Elimination Partnership in Africa (MACEPA) and Rotary Healthy Communities Challenge (RHCC) teams collaborated to apply geospatial modeling to recommend strategic placement of CCS to the DRC Ministry of Health.
