  2. The Prospective Country Evaluation (PCE) is an independent evaluation of the Global Fund commissioned by the Global Fund’s Technical Evaluation Reference Group (TERG). The PCE evaluates how Global Fund policies and processes play out in country in real time and aims to provide high quality, actionable and timely information to national program implementers and Global Fund policymakers. The PCE is implemented by the Infectious Diseases Research Collaboration (IDRC) in collaboration with IHME and PATH.This report describes key findings from early implementation of the newly approved grants from January–November of 2018.

  3. PHC Insights Series:Strengthening people-centered primary health care (PHC) is likely the most cost-effective approach to achieving sustainable health and social impact. It is the foundation of health systems that put people first, address diverse health needs, and leave no one behind. These case studies highlight PATH’s work in designing, implementing and scaling people-centered initiatives. We focus on actions that have worked to help communities, countries, and regions move towards people-centered PHC, while also suggesting future directions to be leveraged. The case studies utilize suggested levers from the WHO Operational Framework for PHC to frame current and future actions.

The IDEA review is a global synthesis of existing evidence aimed at increasing the use of high-quality data to improve immunization coverage.The goal of the IDEA project is to identify, review, synthesize, and disseminate what works to improve the use of immunization data and why it works. In partnership with PAHO, the Health Systems Analytics team at PATH conducted a “realist” systematic review of existing research evidence to determine what are the most effective interventions to improve the use of data for immunization program and policy decision-making; and why and how these interventions produce the outcomes that they do.The IDEA review draws on nearly 550 documents including published literature, working papers, project evaluations and reports, which were distilled and prioritized by global immunization experts.
