This brief, published by PATH in collaboration with the Solar Electric Light Fund (SELF), annotates a defensive publication that placed three prototype energy harvesting controls (EHCs) within the public domain. Lessons learned include confirmation that with the addition of an EHC solar-direct drive refrigerators can safely provide surplus electricity to power secondary electrical loads.
