PATH and the University of Washington are working to refine the bag-mediated filtration system (BMFS) that collects wastewater or sewage in a bag, and passes it through a simple filter that binds Poliovirus (PV). The goal of this project is to develop, validate, and commercialize a new environmental surveillance  tool to assist in global eradication of PV.

  4. This report presents the results of a field evaluation assessing usability, acceptability, and operational feasibility of the Georgia Tech microarray patch. The evaluation used mock microarray patches, without microarrays, which were applied during the course of routine care to women attending antenatal care visits and children attending expanded program on immunization visits.
