  1. Kenya’s Hospital Medicine and Therapeutic Committees (HMTCs) evaluate clinical drug use and assure review of hospital outcomes. Unfortunately, few hospitals have functioning committees. MalariaCare worked to revive HMTCs to strengthen malaria case management. This report describes effects on malaria case management and health systems in Migori County Referral Hospital.

  5. E. coli pathotypes are among the leading causes of child diarrhea, and early enteropathogen exposure has been associated with child stunting. This study examined the frequency of pathogenic E. coli infection from birth to 6 months in Bangladesh, and identified strains associated with linear growth at 24 months.
