The program “Parenting Education: Caring for Children from Pregnancy to Five Years” was developed by PATH in 2017, in collaboration with the Provincial Directorate of Gender, Children, and Social Action of Maputo Province in Mozambique. This brief summarizes the evaluation of the program pilot.

People-centered primary health care (PHC) is the foundation of health systems that put people first, address diverse health needs, & leave no one behind. We must harness the power of communities and information to accelerate progress toward the vision of health for all.

This program evaluation sought to provide data on the feasibility and acceptability and baseline entomological data of ZeroFly® nets at farms in Amhara Regional State, Ethiopia; inform whether a second-phase study should be conducted to assess their impact on epidemiological indicators (incidence and/or prevalence of malaria infection); and further entomological indicators. This report only presents data on the feasibility and acceptability (part I), while entomological data are presented in a different report (part II). These results would have great policy implications in revising the national vector control guidelines in such precarious geography and marginalized populations.

Subcutaneous DMPA (DMPA-SC, Sayana® Press) is a new, easy-to-use injectable contraceptive that is ideally suited for remote access and even self-injection.
