Rotary Healthy Communities Challenge (RHCC)
RHCC is supporting the expansion of integrated community case management (iCCM), a globally recognized strategy to equip community health workers (CHWs) with the training and tools to diagnose, treat, and refer cases of malaria, pneumonia, and diarrhea.
In collaboration with local health authorities, RHCC is increasing access to community-level health care, developing and strengthening digital reporting platforms, and engaging communities to prevent childhood illness.

Project at a glance
Project duration: 2024-2027
Project funders: The Rotary Foundation; Gates Foundation; World Vision
RHCC spans four countries: PATH is the lead implementing partner in Nigeria, and provides technical assistance in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Mozambique, and Zambia where World Vision is the main implementing partner. In all countries, local Rotary teams lead Advocacy, Communications and Social Mobilization activities providing critical visibility and credibility to the project in each country.
We coordinate with ministries of health and national malaria programs to improve CHW selection, placement, training, and supervision.
We develop and adapt appropriate community level data reporting systems aligned with government priorities and tailored to the user. The project leverages PATH expertise to track and visualize impact and to increase data use by decision makers
We document project implementation and impact in each country, including making the investment case for iCCM.
