Using budget advocacy to safeguard funding for a lifesaving program in Kenya

This advocacy impact case study details how PATH advocates in Kenya's Kakamega county partnered with county government to ensure funding was set aside for a successful maternal and child health program. The cash transfer program, Imarisha Afya Ya Mama Na Mtoto, works to increase skilled delivery rates, reduce maternal and child mortality, reduce mother-to-child transmission of HIV, and improve the nutrition status of children under two years of age.
