This report summarizes the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination program implemented in Vietnam by PATH, the Vietnam National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology, and the Vietnam National Center for Health Education and Communication through the HPV Vaccines: Evidence for Impact project. The purpose of the study was to investigate operational issues related to HPV vaccination of young adolescent girls, aimed at identifying effective and cost-effective strategies. This report interprets the results and summarizes helpful lessons for policymakers and program managers, especially those in Southeast Asia, looking to shape their own HPV vaccination programs.
