Act now: Advance immunization equity in Africa
Despite its proven impact and strong continental commitments, immunization in Africa is increasingly under threat—jeopardizing hard-won progress and putting millions at risk.
At PATH, we believe that taking action now will not only protect hard-won gains but also push the continent closer to achieving global immunization goals and securing a healthier future for all.
In this brief, we highlight four priority action areas essential for sustaining and driving immunization progress: strengthening political commitment and accountability, increasing domestic health investments, promoting African vaccine manufacturing, and enhancing coordinated, evidence-based communication.
This resource is intended for advocates, technical decision-makers, policymakers, and anyone interested in learning about key immunization advocacy priorities necessary to advance immunization equity in Africa.
