  2. Severe preeclampsia and eclampsia (PE/E) are among the leading causes of maternal death and disability worldwide. Magnesium sulfate is the treatment recommended by the World Health Organization, but it remains underutilized due to difficult administration. PATH designed a mobile application for dosing and dilution of magnesium sulfate to address the challenges of correctly calculating magnesium sulfate dosage given multiple concentrations and a complex dosing regimen.
