Join PATH at the WomenLift Health Global Conference 2024

March 28, 2024 by PATH

PATH is thrilled to announce our participation in the WomenLift Health Global Conference 2024, a pivotal event that champions transformative leadership for women and gender equality in global health.

The WomenLift Health Global Conference 2024, themed “Transformative Leadership: Embracing Change in Changing Times,” takes place from April 6 to April 8, 2024 at the Julius Nyerere International Conference Center in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

PATH will connect with other global health leaders to review progress made in our shared commitment to invest in women leaders and in nurturing the next generation. The PATH delegation looks forward to sharing insights from our experience fostering a more inclusive and equitable environment for women's leadership.

At PATH, we believe in building an inclusive and equitable culture where women's voices are heard, and they have the same opportunities to thrive. Our commitment to women's leadership is reflected in our Executive Team, which is 56% women; our PATH Global Leaders, which are 62% women; in the 6 Women at PATH People Resource Group chapters across East, West, and Southern Africa; and the recently launched Women, Inspired, Resilient, Engaged, and Disrupting (WIRED) Program at the PATH East Africa Hub women’s leadership initiative, attended by over 100 women in East Africa. These efforts are part of our broader strategy to integrate gender equity into our programming and operations, supported by global partners and our own DEI team. While significant progress is being made, there is still a lot more to be done to close the gender gap in all aspects of our work.

PATH’s WomenLift Health Global Conference 2024 delegation is available for media interviews, speaking engagements, and panel discussions. Send us an email at

AI has the potential to improve health outcomes, enhance health systems, and address health inequities. Its integration into Global Health presents opportunities to improve disease diagnosis, treatment, and surveillance. However, AI also poses significant challenges and risks, such as ethical, legal, social, and technical issues, that need to be carefully considered and addressed by health leaders. Global health leaders, who are responsible for setting health policies, strategies, and priorities at the programmatic, regional, and global levels, need to have an understanding of AI and its implications for health.
