December 9, 2020 by PATH

Former PATH CEO Steve Davis passed the baton to current CEO Nikolaj Gilbert in January 2020, just as the COVID-19 pandemic began transforming the world around us. In this PATH Live Forum, Nikolaj and Steve have a close (but virtual) conversation about 2020, life before and after PATH, and a few of the trends outlined in Steve’s new book, Undercurrents.

Nikolaj Gilbert is president and CEO of PATH and managing director of PATH’s Swiss subsidiary, Foundation for Appropriate Technologies in Health. He brings to his roles more than 20 years of international experience as a leader, strategist, and director of complex partnerships. Before joining PATH in 2020, Nikolaj served as director of partnerships for the United Nations Office for Project Services and previously served as a director for Novo Nordisk. He began his career at Accenture, a global management consulting firm, and has also worked with management research at INSEAD.

Steve Davis is a lecturer at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and is a senior strategic advisor and interim director, China country office, for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. He serves as co-chair of the World Health Organization’s Digital Health Technical Advisory Group and is a member of numerous boards and advisory committees. He is the former president and CEO of PATH; former director of social innovation at McKinsey & Company, and former CEO of Corbis.
