This poster was presented in March 2013 at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation's Grand Challenge Explorations awardee meeting for nutrition and agriculture. The poster describes PATH and our partners' work to ensure the safety of donated human breast milk using FoneAstra, a smart phone−based device that has been adapted to monitor temperatures during flash-heat pasteurization. PATH and our partners are evaluating the system for use in resource-limited human milk banks.
