February 28, 2011 by PATH

PATH has received Seattle Business magazine’s 2011 Leaders in Health Care award in the Outstanding Global Health Organization category for our work in addressing critical public health issues around the world. The magazine presented the award to PATH president and CEO Dr. Christopher J. Elias on February 24 at the third annual Leaders in Health Care event in Seattle.

The award recognizes organizations in Washington State that have made a major impact toward solving chronic global health problems and are contributing to the development of global health research. PATH was lauded for our work in advancing more than 85 health technologies and innovations over the past 30 years, including the recent launch of the MenAfriVac™ vaccine against meningococcal A meningitis in sub-Saharan Africa as part of the Meningitis Vaccine Project, a partnership between PATH and the World Health Organization.
