Early Enteropathogenic E. Coli Infections Associated With Growth Faltering at 24 Months of Age in Urban Bangladesh

E. coli pathotypes are among the leading causes of child diarrhea, and early enteropathogen exposure has been associated with child stunting. This study examined the frequency of pathogenic E. coli infection from birth to 6 months in Bangladesh, and identified strains associated with linear growth at 24 months.
