Program Leader, Medical Devices and Health Technologies

Pat Lennon is the acting Global Program Leader for PATH’s Medical Devices and Health Technologies Program and the lead of the Supply Systems and Equipment Portfolio. Utilizing a Human-Centered Design process, the Medical Devices and Health Technologies Program works with global partners to accelerate equitable access of vaccine and pharmaceutical packaging, formulation, and delivery technologies, supply chain innovations, as well as innovations for primary health care.

Pat provides strategic direction and guidance based on his 25 years of experience in product research, evaluation, development, and operations in high-volume consumer electronics and medical industries. During his career, which includes 15 years of international business experience focused in Asia, Pat has built partnerships across ministries of health, global agencies, and the private sector to bring new innovations to low- and middle-income country markets, and managed outsourced development and manufacturing partners. Early career expertise includes managing the mechanical and plastics engineering team for Microsoft’s PC Hardware division.

Pat has been instrumental in the introduction and scaling of many high-impact global health technologies, including freeze protective vaccine carriers, solar energy harvesting for remote health facilities, and safe water (WASH) devices for emerging markets.
