Derek Reynolds

Director, Business Development

Derek Reynolds, MA, leads PATH’s Business Development, supporting our worldwide growth with bilateral and multilateral donors, foundations, and the corporate sector. He is an experienced senior development professional with more than 20 years of international development experience in the Middle East, Latin America, Africa and the United States. His expertise spans program management, new business development, strategic planning, organizational development, project implementation, training and capacity building, grant management, and information technology.

Mr. Reynolds has experience in various sectors, including public health, technology, education, and human rights, and he has worked for both not-for-profit and for-profit entities. He has secured funding and won projects from both the public and private sectors and from major donors, including the US Agency for International Development, the US Centers for Disease Control, the Ford Foundation, the World Health Organization, UNICEF, the United Nations Development Programme, the Rockefeller Foundation, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the InterAmerican Development Bank, and a number of foreign ministries and governments.

Prior to joining PATH, Mr. Reynolds worked at Management Sciences for Health, as the director of International Business Proposal Development. He lived and worked in Jordan, Egypt, and Ecuador for 13 years, with extensive travel around Africa and the Middle East.

Mr. Reynolds has a BA and an MA in Linguistics from Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois.
