Pathogenesis, Treatment, and Prevention of Pneumococcal Pneumonia

This article, published in The Lancet, summarizes the past ten years of research on pneumococcal pneumonia. The article includes a review of the epidemiology, genetics, and immunology of the disease, as well as approaches to clinical diagnosis, treatment, and vaccination.
