Rotavirus Vaccines: An Update - WHO Position Paper
This article, published in the Weekly Epidemiological Record, summarizes the World Health Organization's recommendations on rotavirus vaccines and related activities, including vaccine introduction, surveillance of rotavirus disease, and studies to evaluate vaccine safety and efficacy. This update replaced their earlier recommendation from 2007 to recommend the use of rotavirus vaccines for infants in all national immunization programs. In 2013, this recommendation was replaced again to allow for employing more flexible immunization schedules.
