Setting the Immunization Agenda Through Advocacy and Communication
This document reports on a high-level meeting about setting the immunization agenda through advocacy and communication, held in London in January 2008. The meeting was held jointly by the United Kingdom Department of Health and the World Health Organization European Regional Office, and was attended by chief medical officers, immunization managers, communications officers, and representatives from 16 western European countries. The report includes a common statement from the participants endorsing continued actions to develop, improve, and extend communication and advocacy activities for immunization, as well as a case study on the introduction of the human papillomavirus vaccine in Europe.
