BID Initiative Briefs: Recommendations and Lessons Learned

In partnership with the governments of Tanzania and Zambia, the Better Immunization Data (BID) Initiative developed, tested, and rolled out interventions that address the most pressing routine immunization service delivery challenges, such as poor visibility into vaccine supplies and difficulty identifying children who default on immunization schedules. This series of briefs summarizes the BID Initiative’s approach, shares lessons learned, and provides recommendations spanning seven key subject areas—data use, electronic immunization registries, software development cycle, rollout strategy, change management, peer learning, and sustainability.
