Challenges of Vaccine Presentation and Delivery: How Can We Design Vaccines to Have Optimal Programmatic Impact?

This article, published in Vaccine, presents three cases studies of novel approaches to immunization program delivery that represent the potential for improving vaccine accessibility in resource-constrained environments. The case studies feature vaccine technologies and strategies at various stages of development and implementation, highlighting challenges for vaccine presentation and delivery and providing considerations for optimal programmatic impact. The authors discussed a total systems effectiveness approach to measuring the potential impact of new technologies, including the use of the new Vaccine Technology Impact Assessment modelling tool for health impact analyses. ABSTRACT ONLY. (Learn how users in developing countries can gain free access to journal articles.)
