A New Approach to Planning for Immunization - WHO-UNICEF Guidelines for Developing a Comprehensive Multi-Year Plan (cMYP)
The Global Immunization Vision and Strategy (GIVS) for 2006 to 2015 provides a framework for policymakers and stakeholders to have a unified vision of immunization and a set of strategies from which countries can select those most suited to their specific needs. In conjunction with GIVS, countries are encouraged to develop comprehensive multi-year plans (cMYPs) for immunization as a means of implementing GIVS at the national level. This web page provides links to guidelines for developing a cMYP, as well as the cMYP costing and financing tool, which can be used to estimate the past costs and financing of immunization and to make projections of future costs, future resources requirements, and future financing needs to achieve program objectives.
