Safety and Immunogenicity of Capsular Polysaccharide—Tetanus Toxoid Conjugate Vaccines for Group B Streptococcal Types Ia and Ib

This article, published in the Journal of Infectious Diseases, reports the results of a study to evaluate the safety, immounogenicity, and optimal dose in healthy women of group B Streptococcus (GBS) type Ia- and type Ib-tetanus toxoid (TT) conjugate vaccines. All vaccines were well-tolerated. The authors indicate these results support inclusion of Ia- and Ib-TT conjugates when formulating a multivalent GBS vaccine.
