FluSight: Seasonal Influenza Forecasting

The goal of influenza forecasting is to provide a more timely and forward-looking tool that predicts rather than monitors flu activity so that health officials can be more proactive in their prevention and mitigation responses. To advance and improve the science and usability of influenza forecasts, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention coordinates seasonal influenza prediction challenges. This website houses the weekly influenza activity forecasts provided by various external research teams in order to track the accuracy of the predictions with actual influenza activity. It also provides relevant public health forecasting targets, standard evaluation metrics, and best practices for influenza forecasting.
