Health Systems and Immunization Financing for Human Papillomavirus Vaccine Introduction in Low-Resource Settings

This article, published in Vaccine, reports on a study that assessed health systems and immunization financing in order to offer recommendations for appropriate and effective strategies for human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine delivery in low-resource settings. They concluded that the maximum feasibility, acceptability, and lowest cost for delivering HPV vaccine can be achieved through implementation in national immunization programs; by partnering with other sectors; by strengthening existing human resources and cold chain infrastructures; and by considering schools for reaching the target population. ABSTRACT ONLY. (Learn how users in developing countries can gain free access to journal articles.)
