Pentavalent Vaccine in the Uniject™ Injection System: Health Care Waste Management Considerations

This report details the findings of a quantitative and qualitative analysis on the health care waste produced using the Uniject™ injection system compared to standard syringes with fully liquid pentavalent vaccines (targeting diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, hepatitis B, and Haemophilus influenzae type B), which are currently a component of national immunization schedules in over 70 countries.
