Primary Cervical Cancer Prevention in Morocco: HPV Vaccine Awareness and Acceptability Among Parents

This study, published in Procedia in Vaccinology, aimed to assess the awareness of human papillomavirus (HPV) and the vaccine, and to identify factors associated with the acceptability of the vaccine among parents in Morocco. The responses revealed a very low awareness of HPV infection and the HPV vaccine. The authors conclude that increasing HPV and HPV vaccine awareness through educational campaigns, along with active recommendations by physicians and a publically funded vaccination program, could increase parental acceptance of the vaccine in Morocco.
