Pentavalent Vaccine in the Uniject™ Injection System: A Time and Motion Study

This report delivers the results of a time and motion study conducted in Kenya to understand the perceived benefits and challenges of a fully liquid pentavalent vaccine (which combines five antigens for protection against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, hepatitis B, and Haemophilus influenzae type B) presented in the Uniject™ injection system. The results showed that Uniject™ was the preferred presentation for pentavalent vaccine, and was associated with the fewest errors and most efficient delivery in a simulated immunization environment.
