Persisting Consequences of Intestinal Infection
This issue of the Old Herborn University Seminar Monograph provides a summary of the discussions at an expert workshop hosted by the Old Herborn University Foundation in June 2013. The discussions were held to assess the experts' epidemiological and pathological-aetiological understanding of the phenomenon that intestinal infections can lead to a myriad of chronic health consequences, as well as to identify gaps in knowledge and describe future directions related to the challenge of persisting consequences of intestinal infection. The monograph includes a summary paper from the workshop, as well as individual papers from the participants on specific aspects of the issue.
