Vaccine Presentation and Packaging Advisory Group: A Forum for Reaching Consensus on Vaccine Product Attributes
Published in the Bulletin of the World Health Organization, this article describes a novel approach to improving vaccine design and presentation in order to reach all children with lifesaving vaccines. The Vaccine Presentation and Packaging Advisory Group, established in 2007 by the GAVI Alliance, is a collaboration between the private and the public sectors that is focused on ensuring that new vaccines are designed with attention to the needs and problems of national immunization programs in low- and middle-income countries.
