Recent Evidence on Cervical Cancer Screening in Low-Resource Settings
This fact sheet summarizes evidence published since 2009 on cervical cancer screening and treatment approaches for both low- and high-resource settings. The information provided supports the use of human papillomavirus DNA technologies and—until low-cost versions are available for use in developing countries—the use of visual inspection methods for cervical cancer screening.
