The Pharmacoeconomics of Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccines in Latin America

This article, published in Vaccine, aims to provide a framework for the global evaluation of pneumococcal conjugate vaccines by reviewing the pharmacoeconomic perspective in Latin America, highlighting both the strengths and weaknesses, while also aiming to open up new lines of enquiry which will need to be assessed in future studies. The authors review pneumococcal disease burden data from Latin America and highlight some of the unique conditions in the region that affect economic assessments of pneumococcal conjugate vaccines.
