PATH Pneumococcal Vaccine Project

This paper, published in Pediatric Health, provides an overview of the efforts that PATH is undertaking to advance the development of new vaccines against Streptococcus pneumoniae that can be low-cost and accessible for the developing world. Through its pneumococcal vaccine project, PATH collaborates with public- and private-sector partners from initial discovery through to clinical trials of vaccine candidates that could be affordable and effective prevention solutions for children in low-resource countries against pneumococcal disease. The paper also reflects on the pneumococcal vaccine landscape today and offers perspectives on the future of pneumococcal vaccine development. ABSTRACT ONLY.
