Introducing rotavirus vaccines, in conjuction with establishing improved hygiene and water purification, represents of the best hope for reducing mortality among children under five years of age in areas where diarrheal disease is a serious burden. This manual is intended to provide country-level program managers with key technical information required to ensure smooth implementation of a national rotavirus immunization program once a decision on its introduction is made.
