Supporting Effective Management of Preeclampsia/Eclampsia: Mobile Application for Dosing and Dilution of Magnesium Sulfate

Severe preeclampsia and eclampsia (PE/E) are among the leading causes of maternal death and disability worldwide. Magnesium sulfate is the treatment recommended by the World Health Organization, but it remains underutilized due to difficult administration. PATH designed a mobile application for dosing and dilution of magnesium sulfate to address the challenges of correctly calculating magnesium sulfate dosage given multiple concentrations and a complex dosing regimen.

Pharmacokinetics and Tolerability of iOWH032, an Inhibitor of the Cystic Fibrosis Transmembrane Conductance Regulator (CFTR) Chloride Channel, in Normal Volunteers and Cholera Patients

This poster presentation from Digestive Disease Week 2014 summarizes the results of a study comparing the pharmacokinetic profiles of a single dose of 300 mg iOWH032 in healthy American volunteers, healthy Bangladeshi volunteers, and Bangladeshi cholera patients with severe diarrhea. In addition, the safety of iOWH032 was assessed in these different populations.

HealthTech Report: Market Sizing Estimates for Neonatal Resuscitation Equipment

The UN Commission on Life-Saving Commodities for Women and Children was launched in 2012 to increase access to lifesaving commodities in the world's poorest countries, and neonatal resuscitation devices were selected as one of the lifesaving commodities. The objective of PATH’s market sizing is to estimate the total market size for newborn resuscitation commodities in eight African countries. The market size estimates reflect the total number of commodities each country will need to provide resuscitation care to newborns born in facilities.
