- SILCS Diaphragm: A Reusable System for Microbicide Gel Delivery
The SILCS single-size diaphragm was designed to expand women’s options for nonhormonal contraception. The SILCS diaphragm is also being assessed as a low-cost, reusable option for microbicide gel delivery and provide contraceptive protection at the same time.

- SILCS Diaphragm: Summary of Clinical Evaluations
The SILCS diaphragm has been evaluated in ten studies conducted in multiple countries since 1998. These studies include design validation and consumer use studies, as well as clinical studies of safety, effectiveness, and acceptability. This document provides summaries of the key studies implemented during development and validation of SILCS as a barrier contraceptive.

- SILCS Launches in Early Markets
The SILCS diaphragm is now available in over 20 countries, including Europe, Canada, Australia, Malaysia, and the United States. PATH led a user-centered design process involving input from women, their partners, and providers whose feedback resulted in its innovative design that is easy and comfortable to use.

- Scale-Up Project for Cervical Cancer Prevention: Establishing Routine Use of HPV Testing to Prevent Cervical Cancer in Low-Resource Settings
PATH’s Scale-Up project seeks to reduce cervical cancer incidence through improved and expanded screening using human papillomavirus (HPV) testing. In Central America, the project is working to establish HPV tests as the primary screening mechanism for cervical precancer and cancer. The project is also assessing opportunities for introducing HPV tests in three African countries.

HPVflash is an email news bulletin that disseminates useful cervical cancer prevention information, including updates on vaccines against the human papillomavirus, to interested persons worldwide. HPVflash emails are emailed only a few times a year.

- Integrating Female Condoms Into HIV Prevention Programs: A Case Study of Barriers, Facilitators, and Future Opportunities in Kenya

- Policy Advocacy for Total Market Approaches for Family Planning: Eastern Europe and Central Asia Regional Workshop May 2014
In May 2014, PATH and the United Nations Population Fund convened a regional workshop on policy advocacy for total market approaches (TMAs) for family planning, in Antalya, Turkey. Seventy-three participants from 18 countries gathered to learn more about advocacy strategy development and to plan advocacy activities to bring about policy changes in support of their TMA action plans.
