- An Advocacy Strategy for Adoption and Dissemination of the WHO Policy on TB Infection Control in Health Care Facilities, Congregate Settings, and Households
In 2010, the World Health Organization (WHO) issued a new policy to guide activities for controlling tuberculosis (TB) infection. This report provides guidance on advocacy for political and financial support for TB infection control from donors and countries, widespread adoption of the WHO policy, and incorporation of it into national and local policies. The report also addresses advocacy for linkages with civil society organizations in the field to ensure demand for and implementation of the WHO policy to protect health workers, patients, and communities from TB transmission.

- APHIA II Western Project: Best Practices and Promising Interventions
This report is a review of the USAID-funded AIDS, Population, and Health Integrated Assistance (APHIA II Western) Project, which operated at the provincial level in Western Kenya from December 2006 to December 2010. The project focused primarily on increasing the use of HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis health services, the adoption of healthier behaviors, the promotion of family planning and reproductive health services, and maternal and child health. The report is available as one large file or several smaller files.

- Attitudes Toward Tuberculosis (TB) Services Among People Living With HIV and AIDS (PLHA) in Ukraine
This poster presentation describes the results of the exit interviews conducted with 312 tuberculosis (TB) patients who may or may not be HIV-positive and five focus group discussions conducted with people living with HIV and AIDS (PLHA) in Kyiv City and Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine. This poster was presented at the XVI AIDS conference in Toronto, August 13-18, 2006.

- Barriers to Access and Use of Public TB Diagnostic Services in Vietnam
This report dissects research results assessing access to and use of public tuberculosis (TB) diagnostic services in nine districts of Vietnam. The report identifies barriers to accessing public-sector TB diagnostic services at the individual, provider, and health system levels.

- Collaborating to Control Tuberculosis
In collaboration with the Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostics and the Hong Kong Supranational Reference Laboratory, PATH assists the Chinese National Tuberculosis Reference Laboratory with determining the operational feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and impact of new tuberculosis diagnostics in order to help the Chinese Ministry of Health decide whether to introduce and scale up these technologies. This fact sheet is presented in English on one side and simplified Chinese on the other.

- Community Health Workers' Manual
PATH developed this manual for community health workers to facilitate and support the implementation of the AIDS, Population, and Health Integrated Assistance (APHIA) II project’s community-based activities in Eastern, Nyanza, and Western provinces of Kenya. The manual was developed with funding from the US Agency for International Development. It is available as one large file or as 17 smaller files.

- Eka's Story: Laying the Foundation for Success to Stop Tuberculosis in Georgia
This is the story about the journey of a courageous doctor in the country of Georgia who received training from PATH in advocacy, communication, and social mobilization (ACSM) to link together national- and community-level efforts to fight tuberculosis (TB). The ACSM approach helps communities learn how to mobilize political commitment and resources for TB and educate people about TB and its cure, to improve case detection and treatment adherence. These interventions are critical to combating stigma and discrimination and empowering people affected by TB. This story is one of a series of success stories that showcase some of the ways that PATH’s work in TB is having an impact on people’s lives in a variety of settings around the world. - Engaging All Health Care Providers in Tuberculosis Control: Public-Private Partnership in Cambodia
This is the story of how PATH’s work to involve local pharmacists and other private-sector health providers in Cambodia in the early detection of tuberculosis (TB) cases helps to find people with TB faster and get them the treatment they need, using all of the country’s health care resources. This approach also helps ensure that all health care providers are knowledgeable about the correct drugs needed for TB and know how to refer patients to facilities for appropriate drugs when needed. This story is one of a series of success stories that showcase some of the ways that PATH’s work in TB is having an impact on people’s lives in a variety of settings around the world. This is one of a series of fact sheets that describe PATH's current and past work in Kenya. The fact sheets focus on specific projects as well as unique approaches that cut across projects. This fact sheet describes PATH's work with the Eritrean government and the World Bank’s HIV/AIDS, Malaria, Sexually Transmitted Infections, and Tuberculosis Control Project (HAMSET). As part of the FHI/IMPACT project, PATH created Winning Through Caring, behavior change communication that provided information about HIV prevention, care, and support.
