- Interpersonal Communication and Counseling for Clients on Tuberculosis and HIV and AIDS
This training curriculum for tuberculosis (TB) health care workers introduces principles of interpersonal communication and counseling of clients on TB and HIV and provides practical experience in TB and HIV counseling skills in a three-day workshop. The training package also includes PowerPoint presentations on parts 1, 2, and 4 for the trainers; and handouts for the participants.

- MDR-TB Planning Toolkit
The MDR-TB Planning Toolkit is designed to help countries develop or strengthen a multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) component within their national TB strategy or plan. Eight tools contain worksheets to assist the user through key planning steps. The toolkit is available as a Microsoft Word file (for users who wish to modify it) and as an Adobe PDF file (recommended for printing). The worksheets can be filled out on the screen using the full toolkit or the worksheets-only version. The Excel version of Tool 2 has built-in formulas that also generate graphs to show a country’s baseline performance and targets for MDR-TB case detection, enrollment, and successful treatment. - MDR/XDR-TB Assessment and Monitoring Tool
The MDR/XDR-TB Assessment and Monitoring Tool was designed to help national tuberculosis program staff, consultants, and donors conduct a baseline assessment for use in preparing a plan or funding application, monitoring progress, or identifying needs for technical assistance. It addresses two key questions: are there high-priority gaps in the DOTS program that must be corrected to prevent the development of cases of multidrug-resistant/extensively drug-resistant (MDR/XDR-TB), and what high-priority areas should be addressed to improve diagnosis and treatment of MDR/XDR-TB? The tool is available in English, Russian, and Spanish as a Microsoft Word file (for users who wish to modify it) and as an Adobe PDF file (recommended for printing). This 2009 tool informed the 2012 MDR-TB Planning Toolkit, which can be found here.
