- Engaging All Health Care Providers in Tuberculosis Control: Public-Private Partnership in Cambodia
This is the story of how PATH’s work to involve local pharmacists and other private-sector health providers in Cambodia in the early detection of tuberculosis (TB) cases helps to find people with TB faster and get them the treatment they need, using all of the country’s health care resources. This approach also helps ensure that all health care providers are knowledgeable about the correct drugs needed for TB and know how to refer patients to facilities for appropriate drugs when needed. This story is one of a series of success stories that showcase some of the ways that PATH’s work in TB is having an impact on people’s lives in a variety of settings around the world. This work was made possible through generous funding from the US Agency for International Development.
