Improving Access to Essential Oxygen Therapy and Pulse Oximetry for Childhood Pneumonia Treatment

Oxygen and pulse oximetry can significantly reduce mortality from childhood pneumonia and hypoxemia. However, these essential medicines and devices remain scarce in many low-resource settings. This poster presentation from the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (ASTMH) 2016 Annual Meeting summarizes efforts to identify barriers and implement scalable solutions to improve access to these lifesaving tools.
