This 24-minute film follows Japanese encephalitis project director Dr. Julie Jacobson as she travels through Southeast Asia to witness the devastating toll of Japanese encephalitis and the tireless efforts of many partners dedicated to making a vaccine widely available. The film provides a glimpse of the serious Indian outbreak in 2005 and innovative diagnostic work in Malaysia, and it explains why vaccination is the only effective way to control the disease.
