PATH's work highlighted in Newsweek

PATH’s work to address cervical cancer in the developing world is highlighted in the April 24th issue of Newsweek magazine. In an article titled, “The war on HPV,” the magazine explains new innovations that have led to a vaccine against HPV, or human papillomavirus, a sexually-transmitted infection that causes cervical cancer.

The article notes that cervical cancer is a significant problem in the developing world, and PATH has been working to protect women in poor countries against the disease. We have been testing screening and treatment programs in the developing world, and more recently, we’re working with partners to produce an HPV test. Read the article.
