USAID expresses confidence in PATH and partners

The US Agency for International Development (USAID) recently recognized PATH’s leadership and expertise in global health by awarding us “Technical Assistance Support Contract Three, Indefinite Quantity Contract (TASC3, IQC).” The award means that, over the next five years, PATH will be allowed to apply as a prime contractor on future USAID projects in the areas of population, health, nutrition, and infectious diseases.

Under the contract, USAID bureaus and country-level missions will release task orders to address health challenges in developing countries. The pre-approved contractors can submit proposals for completing the work.

“We’re thrilled about this vote of confidence,” said Dr. Harriet Stanley, PATH’s vice president for field site development, support, and coordination. She will direct PATH’s TASC3 efforts. “It’s an opportunity to tackle the health challenges of developing-country communities and to contribute to the overall knowledge of the global health community.”

In applying for and receiving this award, PATH was joined by a consortium of world class organizations: Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, HLSP, International Center for Equal Healthcare Access (ICEHA), International HIV/AIDS Alliance, International Rescue Committee (IRC), the International Training & Education Center on HIV at the University of Washington (I-TECH), Manoff Group, and Westat.

The PATH team is gearing up and is eager for the first task order opportunities to be released from USAID.
